CP Energy Acquires Eclipse Transportation

EDMOND, OK – CP Energy Holdings, LLC “CP Energy”, a privately-owned midstream energy company, announced today that it has acquired Eclipse Services, Inc. and Eclipse Service Logistics Corp, collectively “Eclipse” based out of Houston, Texas.

Eclipse was formed in 2001 with 10 trucks to transport crude oil and condensate in South Texas and the Texas-Oklahoma Panhandle.  Eclipse forged a relationship with CP Energy in 2003, providing CP Energy with a significant amount of crude oil trucking and transportation services.  Over the years, Eclipse also expanded their operations into Colorado, New Mexico, Louisiana and the Permian Basin, serving numerous companies.

With the purchase, CP Energy will add the Eclipse fleet of 90 trucks, along with an experienced team of employees and drivers, with key office locations in Houston, Texas and Ardmore and Woodward, Oklahoma.  J.C. Young who served as President of Eclipse will join CP Energy in a similar capacity as VP of Transportation Services.

“The acquisition of Eclipse creates a more integrated crude oil logistics and marketing platform through which we can better meet the needs of our crude oil customers,” said Greg Piper, CP Energy President and Chief Executive Officer. “We know what a quality team they have built over the years and look forward to having their employees and drivers as members of the CP Energy Team.”
