EDMOND, OK – CP Energy, a privately-owned midstream energy company, today announced that Les Harding has joined its executive management team. An industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the crude marketing and logistics industry, Harding will serve as CP Energy’s Chief Operating Officer. He comes to CP Energy from Valero Energy/Ultramar Diamond Shamrock where he spent 18 years in a variety of capacities including executive director of crude supply and trading.
CP Energy was acquired in January 2014 by Texoma Transportation & Crude Marketing, LLC, with private equity firms Crestview Partners and B-29 Investments acquiring a majority stake in the combined company. The new company operates as CP Energy.
“This is an exciting opportunity for me. I have known Bob Passmore and Jim Crossen for a long time and CP Energy has built a solid reputation over the years as a customer-oriented purchasing, transportation and logistics company,” said Harding. “My past experience is suited to help them grow that part of the company while also looking at new opportunities for additional midstream services that will be of value to their customers.”
In addition to his work at Valero Energy/Ultramar Diamond Shamrock, Harding also held various positions in trading and marketing capacities with Scurlock Permian Corporation, Enertrade, Inc. and Champlin Petroleum Company/Union Pacific Resources.
